ISSUE XVII: THE OBSESSION ISSUE

At Home With … The Haskells

Who: Ryan Metke, Painter, Matthew D’Elia, Director of operations at the Crowe Company, Lee Trice, Art Director
Where: Greenpoint, Brooklyn
What: 3-Bedroom Loft

WC: How long have you lived in the space? Three and a half years

WC: What did it look like when you originally moved in?

H: Amazing! I knew I had to have it. There were a lot of white walls that I had to do something about.

WC: So you did all this work yourself?

H: Not one piece of furniture was paid for. Everything was either built or acquired from the great streets of New York. My friend who lived here before us installed the wood floors. We built the bedrooms amongst other things. The most immediate is the outdoor shower. I would love to build an observation hut on top of the massive chimney. To regain our view of midtown.
