No Place Like Home

After yet another trip out of town I am back in the cozy comfort of my apartment in good ol’ Brooklyn. Even though my room is a bit of a mess, I have plenty of unpacking to do, and a new distaste for the organization of my space after spending a week at my brother and sister-in-law’s house (she is an interior designer), I must say I couldn’t be happier to be home. Couch surfing takes its toll after a few nights and there is nothing like sleeping in your own bed! And though I feel the west coast pulling me back each time I board that plane in California, I’m just not quite done with New York yet.

I arrived to a cool windy breeze, a long taxi line at JFK and a bunch of traffic off the Manhattan Bridge. I also found delicious Thai food in the fridge and a series of text messages from my east coast loved ones welcoming me home. Leave all this? Not in a million.
